Marktlink Capital enters into strategic partnership with Inflexion

Dutch investment firm aims to accelerate growth ambitions

Amsterdam, May 1 2026 – Investment firm Marktlink Capital is entering into a strategic partnership with Inflexion, a leading European private equity-firm. The British company is acquiring a minority stake in Marktlink Capital. The investment is being made by Partnership Capital III, Inflexion's fund specifically focused on minority interests. With this investment, Marktlink Capital aims to accelerate its international growth ambitions.

Marktlink Capital has grown strongly since its founding in 2020 and has over the course of five years raised over €3 billion in committed capital, almost entirely from Dutch entrepreneurs and wealthy families. The Amsterdam-based company already expanded into Belgium in 2025 and plans to launch in other European countries as well. "With our fund-of-funds and feeder funds we want to become the leading platform in Europe for private markets," said Hylke Hertoghs, Managing Partner of Marktlink Capital. "To achieve that, we want to further accelerate our growth, including through a buy-and-build strategy. Inflexion is the ideal partner for us, because the company has extensive experience in strategically scaling businesses and has access to a large international network."

Staying ahead of the competition

Marktlink Capital believes the partnership with Inflexion will help the firm stay ahead of the competition. "The private equity market is entering a new phase and is becoming more international and more complex. Entrepreneurs expect more than just a product. They are looking for an agile partner, entrepreneur-friendly tax structuring, and carefully assembled portfolios that effectively mitigate market risks," said Hertoghs. "The partnership with Inflexion enables us to accelerate our innovation and connect entrepreneurs in other European regions to our platform more rapidly. Thanks to the continued growth of our group of investors, we can negotiate even better deal terms and continue to provide our investors with access to leading funds that would normally remain out of reach."

Inflexion has approximately €20 billion of assets under management with offices in London, Manchester, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Stockholm, and New York. Sander Ruijter, Head of Benelux at Inflexion, has great confidence in the partnership with Marktlink Capital. "The company has grown very rapidly and is very ambitious, which appeals to us. We believe in Marktlink Capital's long-term vision. We see many opportunities to continue growing together with the current Marktlink Capital team and to leverage our experience to realize these ambitions."

In addition to Inflexion, the Marktlink Group will remain a shareholder of Marktlink Capital. "They helped from the launch and believe in our plan for the future. Their continued involvement safeguards the deep-rooted entrepreneurial DNA that the investors trust. Nothing will change for clients of Marktlink M&A; the company will continue to advise entrepreneurs with complete independence," said Hertoghs.

The Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM) and De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) must still approve the transaction before it can be completed.
